What's new

What has changed in Deep Thought Cloud, one entry per release, newest first.

  1. Version 2.37.0

The meeting notetaker in beta – and your own AI key

    • New, in beta: the meeting notetaker. Under Meetings you send it to a Zoom, Teams or Google Meet meeting – by the meeting link, a Meet code or a Zoom meeting ID. The participants see that it is recording, and once the meeting is over it becomes a recording like any other, which you open straight from Meetings – with the speakers' names suggested from who attended and when each of them spoke. Part of Premium and Enterprise.PremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • Connect one or more Google or Microsoft calendars in Settings and the meeting notetaker joins your meetings by your account's rule – the account owner or an admin can turn a single meeting on or off. If you don't give Deep Thought access to the calendar you are told straight away, and a calendar that has been disconnected shows as disconnected, so you can connect it again.PremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • On Premium you can use your own AI key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Berget or OpenRouter, and it is then used for all the AI work in your account. If the key stops working the app tells you, and the list of recordings shows which ones are waiting for it.PremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • The Web App now works fully on iPhone and iPad: you can edit, tag and save as on a computer, with its own menu for phone and tablet.FreePremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • Tags work the same everywhere: you add and remove them both in the list and on the recording, and you can filter by kind of source. In Insights you pick a tag in one place, and the page follows it.FreePremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • Insights shows the whole picture per area – counts, activity week by week, decisions, open questions and actions by owner, metrics as charts and how people and things connect – and every number leads to the recordings behind it.PremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • Before you name a speaker you can listen to a short clip of their voice, and names you have confirmed are kept when the speakers are identified again. You can also turn off voice recognition across recordings and delete stored voice data, for the whole account or for one person.FreePremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • Settings show how long your Premium lasts. A few days before the plan ends you are told in the app and by e-mail, and everything you already have is still there afterwards. The app also shows what Premium gives, with the same details as our website.FreePremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • In a shared account, everyone can see in Settings who owns the account and who is in it.PremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • The links in the e-mail about your recording sign you in and open the right place – a chapter link starts where the chapter begins. And the same transcript e-mail no longer arrives twice.FreePremiumEnterprise
    • More reliable processing: a recording that arrives while a long file is being processed waits its turn instead of failing, speaker identification is no longer cut off half-way, and recordings from the app get the right start time even when they are uploaded later.FreePremiumEnterprise
    • With local-only processing, images and PDF pages are not sent to any external service either; they wait, and you see why.PremiumEnterprise
    • If you use the API: chat days and notes that contain code can be uploaded and land on their meeting date, the API states the largest file that can be uploaded (250 MB), and it tells you how many calls you have left and when to retry.PremiumEnterpriseWeb AppREST API
    • The page on how AI is used now opens from the app and from the privacy policy, and the page on where your data is processed also names the last-resort provider in the US.FreePremiumEnterprise
    • deep-thought.cloud now tells the story behind Deep Thought and has a guide to get started right in your browser, and the site is easier to read on a phone. We do not measure your visit until you say yes, and we respect Do Not Track. And record-me for Android is in testing now.FreePremiumEnterprise
  2. Version 2.36.0

Your mail, clearer plans and a new-look record-me

    • New: What's new. Here in the app you can see what has changed in Deep Thought, version by version – a dot in the menu shows what you haven't seen yet.FreePremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • You choose where your mail goes. Settings show the address transcripts and other notices are sent to, and you can change it. You confirm a new address with a link; sign-in links and codes still go to the address you sign in with.FreePremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • The transcript e-mail now arrives as soon as the recording is done. And when the transcript in the e-mail is translated, it still shows who said what.FreePremiumEnterprise
    • Forgotten your password? You can now reset it yourself from the sign-in page. And the sign-in link in our e-mails takes you straight in – it works once, and only when you press the button.FreePremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • Plans are simpler. Free covers transcription of audio and video, with speakers and translation. Premium adds images, PDFs and documents, AI analysis, insights and tasks, and MCP and the API. When something is part of Premium, the app says so straight away, and what you already have stays readable. Every plan can upload files of up to 250 MB.FreePremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • On Premium, the AI analysis button in the sources list always starts the analysis.PremiumEnterpriseWeb App
    • In new recordings, the change of speaker more often lands where the sentence ends, so fewer sentences are split between two speakers. And Deep Thought is more careful before putting a name to a voice – a single voice sample is no longer enough.FreePremiumEnterprise
